The seven checks, one by one

We say every Vindex passes seven checks before it ships. It is not a slogan: it is a list, and this is it.

1. Water resistance: the case, tested before the dial is fitted. 2. Demagnetization: the movement is measured and demagnetized. 3. Accuracy: the caliber's rate, noted in seconds per day.

4. Power reserve: the hours it gives from a full wind, which give away a faulty mainspring or barrel. 5. Aesthetic inspection: dial, hands, crystal and case, without a mark. 6. Crown and setting: the thread and the time and date setting. 7. Strap and clasp: that they hold firm.

The one that does not pass all seven does not leave. And every check is documented with its date and its value: trust is shown, not promised.
