Size & fit

How does a 39 mm wear?

39 mm is the classic proportion: neither big nor small. It slips under a shirt cuff and suits slim and broad wrists alike.

Why a Civis

Every unit ships with a signed report.

The citizen is entitled to proof. That is why every unit passes seven checks before it ships, each with its date and its measured value, and the record lives on your unit's NFC card, to read whenever you want.

Documented checks before it ships

Yes, if…

  • You want a mechanical automatic any watchmaker can service.
  • You want sapphire, 316L steel and 100 m with a screw-down crown.
  • You want a 39 or 36 mm case.
  • You want to see the signed inspection report for your own unit.

Maybe not, if…

  • You want it right now. The first units go out from October 2026.
  • You're after a logo everyone recognizes.
  • You'd rather have quartz, which is more accurate and needs no servicing.

What you ask us most.

Why trust a new brand?

Because you can check it yourself. Every unit ships with its serial number and the report of its seven checks, each one with a date, a measured value and a signature. Three years of warranty, and 30 days to return it for a full refund.

Can I swim with it?

100 m of water resistance with a screw-down crown: you can swim with it. Every case goes through the pressure test before the dial is fitted, and one that cannot hold the pressure does not stay on the line.

What movement does it have? Is it automatic?

An automatic PT5000: high-frequency (28,800 vph, with a smooth sweeping seconds hand), hand-winding, stop-seconds and around 38 hours of power reserve. It shares the ETA 2824-2 architecture, one of the most widespread movement designs in the industry, so parts and servicing are easy to find.

What's the difference between the 39 mm and the 36 mm?

None in quality, movement or process. Same PT5000, same 7 checks, same price. Only the case proportion changes, 39 mm (reference VC2639) or 36 mm (reference VC2636), to fit different wrists better. You can reserve either one now.

Why €250 with a PT5000?

Because we sell direct, with no distributor or shop in between. The €250 includes the 316L steel case, the sapphire crystal, 100 m with a screw-down crown, the automatic PT5000 movement and your unit's seven documented checks.

Why isn't it already made?

Because verification goes unit by unit: seven checks, each with its date and its measured value, before the watch ships. That sets the pace of deliveries.
