Vindex takes its name from an old figure in Roman law: the one who stepped in for another and carried the risk of doing so. We take that idea as a present-day obligation: to design with intent, to document what we do, and to answer for every piece that carries our name. The same watch, at the same price, with the same verification, for whoever asks.

Where Vindex begins.
Civis means citizen. It is the essential expression of Vindex: a mechanical watch for daily wear, conceived as a single piece in two proportions, 39 and 36 mm.
Crystal
Sapphire crystal.
Chosen for its clarity and its high scratch resistance, so that daily wear never gets in the way of reading the dial.
Resistance
100 metres. Screw-down crown.
The case is built for everyday contact with water, and each one is tested individually at 10 ATM before it counts as finished.
Proportion
Two proportions.
39 and 36 mm. The same architecture, the same language, the same watch in two proportions.

Every Civis is born tied to a Vindex Record of its own. It begins with the piece's identity, its checks and its delivery date, and takes in every service and every repair as they happen. The record belongs to the piece.
