Why we started this

Vindex was born from a love of watchmaking. From looking at watches, wearing them and wanting to understand what happens inside each one, until we wanted to make our own, without rushing and with an identity of their own.

The way we work comes from that same place: test and document every piece, and tell exactly how and why. When you love a craft, you want the work to be seen.

The name sets the bar. Vindex is an ancient Latin word for the one who defends, protects or answers for another. This brand practices it at its own scale: it stands behind the idea that an honest mechanical watch can be checked.

This is a build diary. We will tell the story here as it happens, including what goes sideways along the way.
